Occupational Hygiene is defined at the discipline of anticipating, recognising, evaluating and controlling health hazards in the workplace environment with the aim of protecting worker health and well-being and safeguarding the community at large. It involves the practice of identifying hazardous agents (chemical, physical and biological) in the workplace that can lead to injury, disease or discomfort, evaluating the extent of the risk due to exposure to these hazardous elements, and the monitoring and control of those risks to prevent ill-health and injury.

Our occupational hygiene courses are available at a range of different levels – foundation, intermediate, academic and leadership – and are designed to outline the extensive principles of occupational hygiene as the basis for the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of hazards that can be encountered in the workplace.

Whether you’re in the manufacturing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, resources, mining, construction, government, health care or public utilities sector, having your staff trained in one of our occupational hygiene courses can be a fantastic way of ensuring that they are as safe as possible while protecting yourself from expensive legal issues and litigation.
